You’ve probably read this quote–

“Dogs’ lives are too short. Their only fault, really.”
~ Agnes Sligh Turnbull

It is absolutely true. No matter how many years your dog (or cat) lives, you will always feel this way. I was blessed to have 16 years with my heart dog, Szap and still feel it was not long enough. Szap had a great life and we enjoyed thousands of hours together,  working and having fun. We did agility, obedience, tracking, sheepherding, hiking, camping, swimming, and so much more. He went everywhere with me because he was a well-adjusted, well-behaved dog. He was all that because I trained him thoroughly from day one and maintained  his training throughout his life. I have no regrets. Still, I wanted more time with him. I miss him every day.

I offer this advice. Make the most of each day with your dog. Don’t put off having fun with your dog until some later date or time. Do it now as you may not have a tomorrow together.
