As a lifelong dog lover, professional dog trainer, certified dog behavior consultant, and an old athlete and outdoors woman, I have reaped bountiful rewards playing games with dogs full-time for a decade and a half now. Games with dogs, as with sports for people, teach participants a whole lot about life and one another, on and off the playing field. All games have rules. Games, played correctly, build confidence, open channels of communication, and allow for self expression and exploration. Most dogs love to play! Not all dogs know how to play. K9 Training Games take into account the individual dog and breed makeup as well as the dog owner. Through ongoing dog training classes, workshops and Just Do It Dog Day!events, you and your dog have a variety of dog training games to choose from– manners, obedience, scent games, fetch and retrieve, search and ‘rescue’, sheepless herding games, tricks, agility, reliable recalls, obstacle courses, bombproof stays, the all elusive ‘heel’ in leash walking 101 and much, much more!
